The Eternal Life

This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son. The person who has the Son has this life. The person who doesn’t have the Son of God doesn’t have this life.

1 John 5:11‭-‬12 GW

“Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Place my yoke over your shoulders, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble. Then you will find rest for yourselves because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 GW

There will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and the lamb will be in the city. His servants will worship him and see his face. His name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night, and they will not need any light from lamps or the sun because the Lord God will shine on them. They will rule as kings forever and ever.

Revelation 22:3‭-‬5 GW

Where does my hope come from?

My hope comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth.

There was a time when evangelists focused on one key question: If you died today, do you know where you’d end up?

I’m not so sure people care anymore.

They live in denial that their mortal bodies will decay and die.

We use artificial means to extend life and desperately hold on to youthful ideals long after they have served their purpose.

Being attractive is useful for young people to attract a mate.

Once you’re married, you should stay that way and embrace getting fat, old, and wrinkly together.

Until you embrace the reality of death, and come to terms with it, you will never truly live.

Some people fear death.

Some people look forward to it expectantly.

The fact remains the same, there is only one who cannot die, Christ Jesus.

I guess you just can’t keep a good man down.

By definition, He is life.

But there’s good news for you and me, those who are in Christ.

We inherit that eternal life.

And we don’t have to die to get it.

It might be kind of hard to wrap your mind around so remember that humans have two natures, a flesh nature and a divine nature.

The divine nature is Christ.

When you’re born again of the Spirit by faith in Christ, that new life starts.

That life will never die.

For us, death is metamorphosis.

We go from land bound crawlers to butterflies with angel wings.

That transcendent quality and potential is already there, just beneath the surface.

I’ve had revelations of Heaven and Hell.

One is absolute pleasure, one is absolute pain.

In the presence of the Lord is the fullness of joy.

Apart from Him, there is zero to be joyful about.

People hanging by their eyelids.

You can’t even close your eyes to try and escape the torture of an existence of knowing that you rejected and denied God’s free gift of love, redemption, and eternal life.

How’d you like to spend eternity in that state?

Me neither.

I don’t even want to spend one day like that.

I know how I feel when I step outside of grace and disobey the Lord.

It’s cold and black.

There is no life there.

We live by faith not by sight.

You can’t see if a person is saved by looking at their appearance.

You must examine their fruit to see what kind of tree they are.

Good trees produce good fruit.

Rotten trees produce rotten fruit.

Occasionally, a good tree will have a piece of rotten fruit so don’t be too quick to judge.

Likewise, don’t let the odd, good fruit from a rotten tree trick you.

It takes time to evaluate the crop.

Don’t believe everyone that says they have the Spirit.

Test them.

Those that patiently endure with unceasing joy are useful to their Maker.

The eternal life is now.

Knowing that God is the One who saves gives us peace and confidence.

Whether we do our job or not, God will get the job done.

We don’t have to convince anyone with clever arguments, because the simplicity of the Gospel speaks for itself.

People know truth when they hear it.

Speak truth.

Speak life.

Speak blessings.

May your life overflow with the abundance of the Spirit of God.

May your life be holy and sanctified.

May God give you grace, mercy and peace.

In the Name of Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, I pray.

Life Recovery

The fruit of a righteous person is a tree of life, and a winner of souls is wise.

Proverbs 11:30 GW

“But you must never eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because when you eat from it, you will certainly die.”

Genesis 2:17 GW

“Stop judging, and you will never be judged. Stop condemning, and you will never be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and you will receive. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into your pocket. The standards you use for others will be applied to you.”

Luke 6:37‭-‬38 GW

We were created to be loved and to love.

God is love.

We were created in the image and likeness of God.

There is only one fair judge.

And that’s not us.

We were never meant to judge between good and evil, because that would make us a judge and kill us.

To know good and to know evil means to be intimately acquainted with them.

We were never meant to know evil.

But we do.

It’s all around us and inside of us.

Not dissimilar to God.

God is all around us, too.

The last stronghold is making sure He is inside of us, too.

Jesus is the tree of Life.

He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

If a seed dies, it springs forth with new life.

It multiples itself.

Jesus is the seed of Life.

All life was created by Him, through Him and for Him.

He died on a cross.

And the Holy Spirit was given unto us.

He died so that He could multiply the sons of God.

He is the firstborn of many brethren.

If you’re judging and condemning others, you will be judged and condemned.

If you do not forgive others, you will not be forgiven.

Jesus Himself said, “The standards you use for others will be applied to you.”

We are supposed to be in Christ.

That’s in His nature, in His Body, in His image.

We are ambassadors for Christ.

The old way of life is dead.

Christ has given us new life.

We are being transformed.

The outer shell may look the same, but the seed of life has sprouted.

Our bodies are the soil.

We’re not here to judge.

We’re here to love and sow the seed of Truth.

God will make it grow.

A winner of souls is wise.

May the Lord of Heaven and Earth create in you a clean heart.

May He speak when you speak.

May He act when you act.

May the fruit of your life be a tree of life to those around you.

May Christ flow through you like streams of living water.

May God purify your soul and turn your works into pure gold.

In Jesus’ Name I pray.

His Banner Over Me Is Love

As holy people whom God has chosen and loved, be sympathetic, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Put up with each other, and forgive each other if anyone has a complaint. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Above all, be loving. This ties everything together perfectly.

Colossians 3:12‭-‬14 GW

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn’t jealous. It doesn’t sing its own praises. It isn’t arrogant. It isn’t rude. It doesn’t think about itself. It isn’t irritable. It doesn’t keep track of wrongs. It isn’t happy when injustice is done, but it is happy with the truth. Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up.

1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬7 GW

Jesus called the apostles and said, “You know that the rulers of nations have absolute power over people and their officials have absolute authority over people. But that’s not the way it’s going to be among you. Whoever wants to become great among you will be your servant. Whoever wants to be most important among you will be your slave. It’s the same way with the Son of Man. He didn’t come so that others could serve him. He came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people.”

Matthew 20:25‭-‬28 GW

The victorious life in Christ is a life of loving sacrifice.

Obeying the rules out of duty is religion.

The rules become a counterfeit god.

Love motivates correct action.

The trouble is this world doesn’t know what love is.

Love is selfless.

It’s defined by giving of oneself to benefit the other.

If we all walked in love, the systems of this world would all cease.

Economics would not be based on money.

There would be no injustice.

Everyone would have enough to eat.

The imbalances caused by greed would disappear.

The high call of godliness calls us to live to a higher standard than the norms of this fallen world.

We are called to love.

Make your life an example to follow.

Where is compassion?

The blind lead the blind.

Where has integrity gone?

Hypocrisy is standard operating procedure.

Don’t speak.

Unless you’re willing to back it up with action.

Faith without works is dead.

God’s Spirit is destroying the illusions of control and the works of darkness.

Everything will be exposed in the light.

A new day is dawning.

The first fruits are starting to appear.

Children of God, arise.

Shake off the dust and be renewed in faith, hope, and love.

Embrace your destiny.

We are only temporary residents here.

There is much to do.

Bring forth the light.

To God be the glory.
