Passion For His Name

I have refined you, but not like silver. I have tested you in the furnace of suffering.

I am doing this for myself, only for myself. Why should my name be dishonored? I will not give my glory to anyone else.

Isaiah 48:10‭-‬11 GW

So Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:31‭-‬32 GW

Where two or three have come together in my name, I am there among them.

Matthew 18:20 GW

Faith, hope and love.

That’s what life is all about.

If you have faith, then you will have hope.

If you have hope, it will sustain you through the difficult seasons of life.

If you love the Lord, you will have both faith and hope.

We must understand the purpose of trials, tribulations, and suffering.

They produce endurance.

And endurance produces character.

The end goal in this life is to manifest the character of Christ in our lives.

What will sustain you through that refining process?

Nothing but the Name of Jesus.

God is our provider.

He is our healer.

Our Savior.

Our deliverer.

Everything we need is found in Him.

Return to your first love.

Return to the crazy, passionate love of Jesus.

He laid down His life to set us free.

There is power and authority in the Name of Jesus.

He has the Name above all names that can be named.

What’s in a name?

It’s the access point.

When someone calls your name, you respond.

When you cry out to Jesus, it initiates relationship.

Communication can begin again.

Lord, lead me.

Jesus, I need you now.

When you love Jesus, obeying His commandments isn’t hard.

It’s a joy to carry out His will.

Many want to be used by God for His glory.

That’s great.

Love Jesus and He will.

Without love, it’s just empty religion.

Faith, hope and love.

The greatest of these is love.

Love remains.

Love abides.

The anointing flows from the throne of His love.

Let everything you do be done in His love.

Love one another as I have loved you.

No greater love has a person than to lay down their life for their friends.

We are one body.

United in our love of Christ.

Let no man separate what God has brought together.

The walls that divide us are illusions and lies.

If your beliefs are not rooted and grounded in love, their fruit will be bitter and poisonous.

God, melt these hearts of stone with your holy, refining fire and give us hearts of flesh.

Let us have an all consuming passion for Your Name.

The Name of Jesus.

There is no other name that saves.

Save me, Jesus.

And make me just like you.

In Your Name I pray.

May the Lord bless this day.
