Because I Live

Jesus replied to them, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I can guarantee this truth: A single grain of wheat doesn’t produce anything unless it is planted in the ground and dies. If it dies, it will produce a lot of grain. Those who love their lives will destroy them, and those who hate their lives in this world will guard them for everlasting life. Those who serve me must follow me. My servants will be with me wherever I will be. If people serve me, the Father will honor them.

John 12:23‭-‬26 GW

If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am.

John 14:3 GW

“I will not leave you all alone. I will come back to you. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. You will live because I live. On that day you will know that I am in my Father and that you are in me and that I am in you. Whoever knows and obeys my commandments is the person who loves me. Those who love me will have my Father’s love, and I, too, will love them and show myself to them.”

John 14:18‭-‬21 GW

Jesus is the Son of God.

He is the firstborn of many brethren.

Salvation is not possible unless Jesus died and rose again.

He was the perfect seed.

He was sown and died.

And because He died and rose again, the Holy Spirit was sent to invade the hearts of earthly men.

There is no life apart from Christ.

In Christ, we have the abundant life.

Unless the Holy Spirit awakens and empowers you, you will be in the dark, excluded from the life of God.

The Word of God is living and active.

Jesus calls us His brothers and sisters.

Those of us that do the will of the Father, that is.

We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing.

We can do the same things that Jesus did.

And we will do even greater things.

Think of it this way: before the resurrection, there was only one Son of God.

Now, there are many sons being brought to glory.

God multiplied Himself in us by having Jesus die on a cross and raise from the dead and ascend into Heaven.

How does that work?

By obedience.

Jesus only said and did what the Father told and showed Him.

That’s where we need to get to.

Our old approaches to ministry have failed because they were birthed out of the mind of man.

Everything man touches dies.

Everything God touches comes to life.

We live and breathe and have our existence in God.

Christ is poured out through us.

We must fully surrender to God’s guidance to be fruitful.

There is a constant temptation to think that we have the answers, the plans, the power.

God is the answer.

God has an eternal plan for salvation.

And all power has been given unto the Lord.

He is our King.

He acts through us.

When we empty ourselves of self, then we can be filled with Christ.

Our identity is an illusion.

We do not belong to ourselves.

We were purchased by the blood of Christ.

Have all your plans failed?

God’s got something better for you.

It’s called a life of faith.

What if you were part of a family business?

When you started each day, would you just go off and do your own thing?

Or would you meet with your Father and see what today’s plan was?

That’s how we’re supposed to live.

In constant communication with the Lord.

Sit at His feet and learn from Him.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Knowledge puffs up.

Pride goes before a fall.

We must humble ourselves and seek the will of the Lord in all that we do.

He is the builder of His Kingdom.

He is the builder of the Church.

Man is nothing in His eyes.

Who are you to counsel the Lord?

Yet, we have the mind of Christ.

Don’t ask God to bless your plans.

Ask God what His plans are and pray that they come to pass quickly.

Your Kingdom come.

Your will be done.

On Earth as it is in Heaven.

Man is rebellious by nature.

The carnal nature is opposed to God because it can’t submit to God.

If you’re operating in your flesh, you will fail miserably.

If you’re operating in the divine nature, nothing can stand against.

We are vessels for God’s glory.

He is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh.

The blessing of Abraham is upon us.

⌊Christ paid the price⌋ so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to all the people of the world through Jesus Christ and we would receive the promised Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3:14 GW

God’s Holy Spirit is the down payment on our inheritance.

The Kingdom of God belongs to us.

Father in Heaven,

Thank You for sending Your only begotten Son to take our place on the Cross.

Thank You for the Holy Spirit, by which we are adopted into Your family.

Give us willing hearts to serve You wholeheartedly.

Remove every obstacle that gets in the way of our relationship with You.

May our fellowship and communion be pure and without end.

May we come to the place that You prepared for us.

May we see You face to face in Heaven.

Unashamed, because You live.

In the Name of Jesus we pray.

God Is Still God Even When We’re Dead

He is the one who sends his promise throughout the earth. His word travels with great speed.

Psalms 147:15 GW

The Lord isn’t slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn’t want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.

2 Peter 3:9 GW

We accept human testimony. God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony that he has given about his Son.

Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony of God in them. Those who don’t believe God have made God a liar. They haven’t believed the testimony that God has given about his Son.

This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son.

The person who has the Son has this life. The person who doesn’t have the Son of God doesn’t have this life.

1 John 5:9‭-‬12 GW

God is the Lord of Heaven and Earth.

He has given all power and authority to His Son, Jesus Christ.

The One who made the promise is faithful.

The eternal power of God is at work in those who believe.

When you get born again, you become alive spiritually.

Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.

God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships.

In other words, God was using Christ to restore his relationship with humanity.

He didn’t hold people’s faults against them, and he has given us this message of restored relationships to tell others.

Therefore, we are Christ’s representatives, and through us God is calling you.

We beg you on behalf of Christ to become reunited with God.

God had Christ, who was sinless, take our sin so that we might receive God’s approval through him.

2 Corinthians 5:17‭-‬21 GW

Before we knew God we were dead in our sins.

No one can go to the Father except through the Son.

That’s the Good News of the Gospel.

Jesus lived the life we should have lived.

Jesus died the death we deserve.

And then, on the third day, He rose from the dead, victorious over the grave.

We approach God through faith.

As believers, Christ lives in us.

He continues to carry out His ministry through us.

It is by faith in Jesus and what He did for us that we are saved.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

What are we saved from?

What are we saved to?

We’re saved from the punishment we deserve for living sinful lives.

The wages of sin is death.

We’re saved into His Kingdom.

Christ rules and reigns in our hearts.

The Kingdom of God is within you.

There is hope for the sinner.

They just need to hear the Gospel and believe it and repent from their sins.

John’s baptism is a baptism of repentance from dead works.

When we turn from our sin and turn to God, we must change the way we think and act.

We no longer think as humans do.

We no longer act like humans do.

We become sons and daughters of the King.

Someone once told me that God doesn’t have any grandchildren.

We are direct heirs of the promise.

We each must decide for ourselves who or what we will serve.

For me, it’s a no brainer.

I have the benefit of experience.

I ate the fruit of my ways and it ended only in madness and destruction.

But God is a loving and merciful God.

His mercies are new every morning.

He is quick to forgive.

Quick to heal.

Quick to deliver.

His Word is spreading quickly.

We are approaching the end.

How soon?

No one knows.

Therefore, we must endure with renewed strength from the Lord until the end.

We were once dead.

We’ll die and be judged according to our deeds.

We have just one life to live.

Live it for God.

Live it in Christ.

God is still God.

Even when you’re dead to sin.

Believers, arise.

Shake off your chains.

Be encouraged in the Lord.

He is fighting our battles.

And He’s already won the war.

Be still.

And rejoice in the Lord.

But if God’s Spirit lives in you, you are under the control of your spiritual nature, not your corrupt nature. Whoever doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ doesn’t belong to him.

Romans 8:9 GW

What can we say—that God is unfair? That’s unthinkable!

For example, God said to Moses, “I will be kind to anyone I want to. I will be merciful to anyone I want to.”

Therefore, God’s choice does not depend on a person’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

Romans 9:14‭-‬16 GW

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you. I have appointed you to go, to produce fruit that will last, and to ask the Father in my name to give you whatever you ask for.

Love each other. This is what I’m commanding you to do.

John 15:16‭-‬17 GW

If you are saved by God’s grace, then you have faith that Jesus died for our sins.

If you have faith, it’s because God chose to give you faith as a gift out of the abundance of His mercy and love.

God’s choice is not based on a person’s desire or effort.

Even when it comes to winning souls, it’s not based on our desire or effort to win the soul.

It’s based on God choosing to save that person and drawing them by His Holy Spirit.

Our job as prophetic evangelists is to be faithful to our Master.

When I’ve been out on the streets ministering to homeless people, I’ve heard the Lord speak to me.

He says, “He’s ready.”

He says, “He’s not ready.”

He tells me who’s ready to receive the Gospel and repent from their sins and be baptised in the Holy Spirit.

Whether they’re ready or not, I still love them and minister to their immediate needs.

I still speak the truth in love.

But I know to wait on God before I rush in to close the deal.

Sometimes we’re sowing.

Sometimes we’re reaping.

Either way, it’s God that brings the growth.

Just be true to who God created you to be.

If you want to be successful in any endeavor, then you must commit all your ways to the Lord.

What does that mean?

It means you submit to the headship of Christ.

God knows everything, we don’t.

God has a plan and a purpose in everything that happens.

Our duty is to seek His will and His way.

As soon as we think we’ve got it figured out, we tend to get religious and leave God out of the equation.

Yesterday’s manna will not feed us today.

Father in Heaven, give us our daily bread.

Give us our daily progressive revelation of who You are.

Give us our daily good works to do.

My bread is to do the will of My Father.

That’s what feeds my spirit.

We will not be complete until He appears again.

If you just follow God, it doesn’t matter how smart you are, you’ll look like a genius because you’re so blessed.

But remember, it has nothing to do with you.

We’re just instruments in God’s hands.

Pride is disgusting to the Lord.

All arrogance and conceit is an abomination.

Humility is not the way of the world.

But it’s the chosen way that Christ demonstrates.

If you’re saved, then God chose you.

That’s nothing to brag about.

You’re not that special.

God chose you to suffer for Him to bring glory to His Name.

Your reward is in Heaven.

Continue to fight the good fight of faith.

In Jesus’ Name I pray.
