Here’s Mud In Your Eye

Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.

Psalms 119:105 GW

However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you.

John 14:26 GW

When Pentecost, the fiftieth day after Passover, came, all the believers were together in one place. Suddenly, a sound like a violently blowing wind came from the sky and filled the whole house where they were staying. Tongues that looked like fire appeared to them. The tongues arranged themselves so that one came to rest on each believer. All the believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.

Acts 2:1‭-‬4 GW

The Holy Spirit can teach you to speak a foreign language in a moment.

I think that’s even better than Rosetta Stone.

I’d like to wish you all Merry Christmas.

Or say Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Or Happy Anniversary, Church!

You make the call.

Shavuot marks the giving of the Law of Moses to the nation of Israel.

Pentecost, the same day on the calendar, marks the giving of the Holy Spirit to the disciples of Jesus, thus initiating the birth of the Church Age.

King David is thought to have been born and laid to rest on Shavuot.

Given all this, one can easily see that Jesus most likely was born on Shavuot.

Some scholars have surely studied this out but who has time for that?

All I know is that this is the day the Lord has made so I’m going to be glad and rejoice in it.

You can study that out too to convince your mind of what your heart already knows and verify that it is in fact the Biblically accurate way to live your daily life.

I make light of research, but it has its place.

There are doubters out there and they need to become soberminded.

So let them research if that helps them.

Me, I get bored easily so I like to do stuff.

I get my to-do list from Holy Spirit.

He gives me some latitude, but I’m finding if I need to be micromanaged, He’ll do that too.

All I got to do is ask, “Lord, what do You want me to do right now?”

Right now, I’ve got some free time.

Which is a good time to relax and unwind.

Sure, it’s not quite 5 am, but it’s quiet, the world is asleep and my mind is clear and free from distractions.

I’m in my happy place.

My dog is snuggled up next to me, dreaming of something worthy of barking about, but he usually only barks when he’s really happy and excited about something.

Like going for a walk.

He’ll bark, “Let’s go!”

He doesn’t speak English, but I understand him perfectly clear.

He does understand English though.

He’s pretty gifted for a little furball.

Anyways, I think that’s what it’s like sometimes for us and God.

We understand when He speaks to us and we get excited.

We can’t comprehend a fraction of what He’s aware of and thinking about, but that’s okay.

He loves us.

He wants to take us for a walk so that we can get some exercise.

And then He wants us to snuggle up in His lap and rest quietly.

I think today’s one of those snuggle up days.

He wants us to be super close to Him.

So close, you forget you’re touching.

Until you move.

And then you notice the cold where there was warmth before.

So don’t move.

Unless God moves you.

Let His love guide you.

And you’ll never go wrong.

May peace, love, joy, wisdom, revelation and truth be yours in abundance today.

And may you freely give away what you’ve received.

In Jesus’ Name I pray.

His neighbors and those who had previously seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”

Some of them said, “He’s the one.”

Others said, “No, he isn’t, but he looks like him.”

But the man himself said, “I am the one.”

So they asked him, “How did you receive your sight?”

He replied, “The man people call Jesus mixed some spit with dirt, smeared it on my eyes, and told me, ‘Go to Siloam, and wash it off.’ So I went there, washed it off, and received my sight.”

John 9:8‭-‬11 GW
