We Sing Hallelujah

When you didn’t know God, you were slaves to things which are really not gods at all. But now you know God, or rather, God knows you. So how can you turn back again to the powerless and bankrupt principles of this world? Why do you want to become their slaves all over again?

Galatians 4:8‭-‬9 GW

The believers had a single purpose and went to the temple every day.

They were joyful and humble as they ate at each other’s homes and shared their food.

Acts 2:46 GW

We pray to God that you won’t do anything wrong. It’s not that we want to prove that we’ve passed the test. Rather, we want you to do whatever is right, even if we seem to have failed.

2 Corinthians 13:7 GW

The believers had a single purpose.

For that to happen, there had to be unity of vision.

But more than vision, they had to have a sense of mission.

Salvation belongs to the Lord.

Every day the Lord saved people, and they were added to the group.

Where do you go every day?

Do you go to work?

No, you take a day off to rest at least once a week.

Where do you go every day?

You go home.

To your family.

The believers are one family united in faith in God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

They went to the temple everyday.

What do you do at the temple?

You worship God.

You talk with your fellow believers.

It’s a family meeting.

Our modern world is so fractured, so hypnotized by the enemy into living a lie that we live lives of quiet and not-so-quiet desperation.

We need to get back to basics.

Get back to what works.

Practice the fundamentals over and over again until you can do it without thinking about it.

We need to love.

Love God.

Love people.

Especially the family of believers.

Revival is in the house.

Or more specifically, it’s in the house churches.

When we gather together, share our food and our lives together, something happens.

God moves.

God speaks.

The body ministers to itself in love and power.

The revival won’t come from the stage or the pulpit.

Revival starts with us.

When God grabs a hold of your life and you live in obedience, things get moving.

The things that held you in bondage move out.

And God’s Spirit floods in.

Deliverance and discipleship are both birthed from the love of God.

God’s Spirit is invading the enemy’s territory.

And nothing can stand against.

Meet with God at the temple everyday.

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.

You can’t hold an audience of strangers accountable to the sermon that’s preached.

We hold each other accountable to the Word of God.

Iron sharpens iron.

And so the words of a friend sharpen his neighbor’s wits.

We’re all in this together.

So let’s pull together.

Christ is the head of the Church.

Listen up!

Stand your ground.

The occupying force is here.

We are the forerunners of reformation.

Back to our roots.

The root of David.

Be the humble and obedient children of God.

Your Father in Heaven loves you and cares for you.

Nothing can separate you from His Love.

Blessings to you and yours this day.

In Jesus’ Name I pray.

Blind To Sin

Some of the Pharisees said, “The man who did this is not from God because he doesn’t follow the traditions for the day of worship.”

Other Pharisees asked, “How can a man who is a sinner perform miracles like these?”

So the Pharisees were divided in their opinions.

John 9:16 GW

Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Philippians 2:5 GW

You will know Christ’s love, which goes far beyond any knowledge. I am praying this so that you may be completely filled with God.

Ephesians 3:19 GW

A lot of people have a high opinion of their own opinions.

Faith in Jesus is not a matter of opinion.

It’s a gift from God to be a believer.

Immature and carnal minded people argue and sow division.

Mature Christians are humble, gentle, and peaceful.

Read the story of the man born blind that Jesus gave sight to on the Sabbath in John 9.

It’s okay, I’ll wait for you to come back.

What was the Pharisees’ problem?

They were slaves to tradition.

And they loved power and control instead of God and their fellow human beings.

Whenever religion or tradition causes you to split into opposing factions, you know you’ve missed it somewhere.

There is one faith.

Some people are slaves to human rules about the Sabbath.

We know from the teachings of Jesus that the Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath.

Pride is the first sin.

It separates us from humbly serving God and breaks our fellowship with His Spirit.

We must abide if we are to bear fruit.

Pride wants to exalt self.

It uses religion in an attempt to control others.

Religion will never triumph over relationship with God.

All religion can be codified as a set of rules.

You can know those rules.

You can use and abuse them for your own benefit.

Love breaks the rules.

The love of Jesus is unlawful.

He fulfilled the Law and transcended the Law to show us that the Law is powerless to save us.

Only a living and active faith in Jesus can save you.

It frees you from worrying about what rules you should be following.

Instead, we have liberty.

With the love of God as your guide, you’ll naturally do what God approves of.

And that’s loving God and loving people.

If you’re constantly examining and judging others’ actions, you’ll completely miss out on what life’s all about.

It’s about being kind, generous and doing lots of good things.

The people who don’t do anything good like to criticize others to make themselves feel better.

That will be their only reward.

Love covers a multitude of sins.

Jesus came to rescue us.

He came for the sinners, not those that thought they had God’s approval.

Go in the love, mercy and grace of God and share the message of truth from a pure heart with a clear conscience and a sincere faith.

God is love.

Have the same attitude as Christ Jesus had.

Be completely filled with the Spirit and know the peace and love of God which goes beyond all understanding.

To God be the glory.

The Eternal Life

This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son. The person who has the Son has this life. The person who doesn’t have the Son of God doesn’t have this life.

1 John 5:11‭-‬12 GW

“Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Place my yoke over your shoulders, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble. Then you will find rest for yourselves because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 GW

There will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and the lamb will be in the city. His servants will worship him and see his face. His name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night, and they will not need any light from lamps or the sun because the Lord God will shine on them. They will rule as kings forever and ever.

Revelation 22:3‭-‬5 GW

Where does my hope come from?

My hope comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth.

There was a time when evangelists focused on one key question: If you died today, do you know where you’d end up?

I’m not so sure people care anymore.

They live in denial that their mortal bodies will decay and die.

We use artificial means to extend life and desperately hold on to youthful ideals long after they have served their purpose.

Being attractive is useful for young people to attract a mate.

Once you’re married, you should stay that way and embrace getting fat, old, and wrinkly together.

Until you embrace the reality of death, and come to terms with it, you will never truly live.

Some people fear death.

Some people look forward to it expectantly.

The fact remains the same, there is only one who cannot die, Christ Jesus.

I guess you just can’t keep a good man down.

By definition, He is life.

But there’s good news for you and me, those who are in Christ.

We inherit that eternal life.

And we don’t have to die to get it.

It might be kind of hard to wrap your mind around so remember that humans have two natures, a flesh nature and a divine nature.

The divine nature is Christ.

When you’re born again of the Spirit by faith in Christ, that new life starts.

That life will never die.

For us, death is metamorphosis.

We go from land bound crawlers to butterflies with angel wings.

That transcendent quality and potential is already there, just beneath the surface.

I’ve had revelations of Heaven and Hell.

One is absolute pleasure, one is absolute pain.

In the presence of the Lord is the fullness of joy.

Apart from Him, there is zero to be joyful about.

People hanging by their eyelids.

You can’t even close your eyes to try and escape the torture of an existence of knowing that you rejected and denied God’s free gift of love, redemption, and eternal life.

How’d you like to spend eternity in that state?

Me neither.

I don’t even want to spend one day like that.

I know how I feel when I step outside of grace and disobey the Lord.

It’s cold and black.

There is no life there.

We live by faith not by sight.

You can’t see if a person is saved by looking at their appearance.

You must examine their fruit to see what kind of tree they are.

Good trees produce good fruit.

Rotten trees produce rotten fruit.

Occasionally, a good tree will have a piece of rotten fruit so don’t be too quick to judge.

Likewise, don’t let the odd, good fruit from a rotten tree trick you.

It takes time to evaluate the crop.

Don’t believe everyone that says they have the Spirit.

Test them.

Those that patiently endure with unceasing joy are useful to their Maker.

The eternal life is now.

Knowing that God is the One who saves gives us peace and confidence.

Whether we do our job or not, God will get the job done.

We don’t have to convince anyone with clever arguments, because the simplicity of the Gospel speaks for itself.

People know truth when they hear it.

Speak truth.

Speak life.

Speak blessings.

May your life overflow with the abundance of the Spirit of God.

May your life be holy and sanctified.

May God give you grace, mercy and peace.

In the Name of Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, I pray.
